The world's first zero-carbon eVTOL water vertiport was launched in Dongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Ningde, featuring a demonstration flight of the V2000CG Kairuiou unmanned aircraft.

The project was jointly promoted by Ningde Dongqiao District National Assets Investment Constructive and AutoFlight, a subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL).

Designed for flexible deployment, the eVTOL zero-carbon water vertiport integrates a dedicated takeoff and landing area, a solar-storage-charging energy system, an intelligent dispatch center, and omnidirectional communications support.

It can be rapidly installed across diverse water environments, including rivers, lakes, and coastal areas, enabling adaptive responses to different operational scenarios.

The facility is compatible with multiple eVTOL aircraft developed by AutoFlight and is intended to support applications ranging from offshore energy maintenance and high-frequency commuting to aerial sightseeing, emergency rescue, and coordinated fleet operations.

V2000CG Kairuiou, independently developed by AutoFlight, is a fully electric, unmanned aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of two metric tons and an effective payload of 400 kilograms.

With a top cruising speed of 200 kilometers per hour and a range of up to 200 km, it combines vertical takeoff and landing with fixed-wing cruise capabilities, allowing rapid response and flexible deployment for low-altitude logistics, emergency transport, and rescue missions.
