The ongoing Beijing exhibition of Ji Lesheng, an artist specializing in classical Chinese painting, highlights an artistic path shaped by long-term dedication, sustained practice, and continuous scholarly refinement.
Ji's dozens of landscape works, on show at the China National Academy of Painting in Beijing, reflect his awe for a long-standing painterly tradition, perfected by his research of brushwork.
Living and working in Weifang, Shandong province, Ji also draws inspiration from the history and culture of his hometown, which have played a formative role in his artistic development.
The exhibition runs until Thursday.
