Ordos' new energy vehicle (NEV) market has continued to heat up this year, with NEVs making up 70.9 percent of the city's total auto retail sales from January to October, highlighting solid progress in industrial transformation and a clear trend of consumption upgrading as green mobility becomes the preferred choice for consumers.

The city has rolled out a series of supportive policies in recent years, including purchase subsidies and parking discounts, to reduce the cost of buying and using NEVs.

Continuous breakthroughs in core technologies, such as battery range and charging speed, have eased consumers' "range anxiety" concerns, while the rapid expansion of charging infrastructure has provided strong support for broader adoption.

"I use my car mainly for commuting. Buying an NEV not only lowers my daily costs but also comes with subsidies," said resident Du Haoxuan, adding that the economic and environmental benefits were key reasons behind his choice.
