Anhui Museum revisits 2,000-year quest for immortality of Mawangdui

Starting from Dec 7, the Anhui Museum (Shushan Hall) will unveil a special exhibition Mawangdui – The Eternity Dream of a Western Han Family. More than 20 years after their previous display here, nearly 200 treasures representing the cultural and artistic heights of the Mawangdui Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220) tomb are returning to Anhui. These objects not only piece together a vivid portrait of Han-era society, but also reflect the spiritual world that shaped an age.
