The Beijing Central Axis, a 7.8 km north-south line of historical and cultural landmarks running through the heart of the old city, is a building ensemble exhibiting the ideal order of the Chinese capital and was inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2024.
Now, this great axis is taking center stage at the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan province, opening a new chapter in the museum's World Cultural Heritage exhibition series. The show also reveals how the Beijing Central Axis embodies the grandeur of Chinese civilization in both urban planning and cultural order.
