Since the start of this year, Ordos has added 3.47 million kilowatts of new energy capacity, with a series of high-impact, demonstration projects completed and connected to the grid. These developments are injecting strong green momentum into the city's high-quality economic and social development.

Among the new additions, six fully completed projects account for 3.25 million kW, spanning Ejin Horoo Banner, Dalad Banner, Hanggin Banner, and other areas. Two additional partially completed projects contribute another 220,000 kW. The city's total installed new energy capacity has now reached 24.73 million kW.

In Dalad Banner, CECEP Solar Energy Co's 500,000-kW "photovoltaics + sand control" integrated project has successfully begun grid-connected operations. As a key component of this year's capacity increase, the project pioneers an innovative model that combines clean energy generation with desertification control.

During preparation, authorities formed special task teams to address approval bottlenecks, while the company followed strict standards and coordinated planning.

A total of 56 supporting documents – covering site selection, land acquisition, grid access, forestry and grassland use, and cultural relics surveys – were obtained.

Another 73 grid-related procedures, including remote communication, power management, station modeling, and primary frequency regulation, were completed efficiently. These efforts ensured the project progressed on schedule and was connected to the grid as planned.
