On Saturday, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county in Guangxi came alive with music and dance as people of different ethnic groups celebrated the traditional Mulam Yifan Festival at Chenglong Lake Square.
A thousand-year-old cultural tradition, this Mulam people’s festival honors ancestors, gives thanks for the harvest and prays for peace and unity. It was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
