Hongqiao Intl CBD empowers Chinese enterprises to go global

The Sub-forum on Building Hongqiao International Opening-up Hub & HUB Conference 2025 was held on Nov 6 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

The Hongqiao Cases of Going Global launch ceremony showcased outstanding examples of Chinese enterprises expanding abroad. Covering sectors such as food and beverages, technology, healthcare, logistics, and finance, these cases highlight the diversity and dynamism of the "Chinese approach" to globalization.

Chen Xianggui, a fast-growing Lanzhou Beef Noodle brand, has benefited greatly from Hongqiao's comprehensive services to help enterprises go global. According to founder Jiang Peijun, Hongqiao provided invaluable guidance on Madrid's trademark registrations and offered advice on finances, taxes, and supply chain compliance. The district's support also made visa applications highly convenient, making the company's expansion into Europe much smoother.

In the healthcare sector, Weigao Group has built its Hongqiao-based park in Shanghai's Minhang district into a hub for medical device exports, with the Hongqiao CBD and local authorities helping to integrate R&D, production, and certification services for smaller firms.

Digital manufacturing platform Black Lake Technologies has thrived under Hongqiao's strong support, from streamlined visas and export facilitation to professional service vouchers. Recognized by the World Economic Forum as a global innovator, it credits Hongqiao for linking Chinese innovation with global markets.

Morning Whistle Group co-built the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center, which brings together government and market resources. The center combines policy consulting with investment, legal, and intellectual property services, offering companies a one-stop platform for accelerating their international expansion and strengthening cross-border cooperation.

At the HUB Conference 2025, participants noted that Hongqiao's open ecosystem and cross-border services are helping Chinese enterprises better integrate into global markets, fostering innovation-driven growth and win-win cooperation worldwide.
