China has received its first bulk carrier shipment of Russian peat soil at the Qianwan West Port joint terminal in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ. The shipment marks the establishment of a maritime supply chain for peat soil running between China and Russia.
Peat soil, an organic mineral formed from decayed plants in swamps, is widely used in industries such as energy, agriculture, and environmental protection. Russia, with 186 billion metric tons of peat reserves, is a major source of high-quality peat.
Qingdao ZG-Express Group, based in the Qingdao FTZ, offers downstream industries a comprehensive "one-stop" import solution. This includes international logistics, customs clearance, ship unloading, and warehousing, ensuring a stable raw material supply for the industry.
