​Xi'an holds global media meeting

The Global Southern Media Partners Mechanism Inauguration Meeting and the 13th Global Video Media Forum kicked off on Nov 6 in Xi'an, attracting nearly 300 Chinese and international guests.

Guests will discuss topics such as "Building Global Southern Discourse Power", "The Responsibility of Media in Global Governance", and "Telling the Story of Peaceful Development", promoting cooperation among media in developing countries and opening a new chapter of unity among media in the "Global South".

Chinese and international media will also visit the China-Europe Railway Express Assembly Center and advanced manufacturing bases to explore Xi'an's practices in high-quality construction under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Xi'an is the starting point of the ancient Silk Road and a gateway to China's high-level opening-up. Hosting this event allows the "Global South" media to focus more on Xi'an's modern changes and development achievements, and builds a broader international exhibition platform for the city.
