Inner Mongolia Gaoyuan Almond Beverage Co, a company based in Ordos city, has begun production of its first batch of almond beverages bound for Japan, with 24,000 bottles soon to deliver the distinctive taste of Chinese plateau's almonds to Japanese consumers.

Zhang Zhihua, deputy general manager of the company, introduced that the export includes two varieties – sugar-free and classic almond beverage.

Blending low-temperature extraction with freshness-locking technology, the almond beverage preserves the original flavor of wild plateau almonds while meeting modern consumers' demand for healthy nutrition.

"Entering the Japanese market marks just the beginning of our global journey," Zhang said. "We will continue expanding our wild apricot planting bases and investing in core research and development to reach more international markets".

As a national-level leading forestry enterprise, Inner Mongolia Gaoyuan Almond Beverage Co has spent over 40 years cultivating its industry around local mountain apricot resources.

With continuous innovation, the company has launched more than 20 almond-based beverage products certified under ISO9001 and as organic food, earning a strong reputation in the domestic market.

In April 2024, Gaoyuan almond beverage made a successful appearance at an international food and beverage expo, where its unique flavor and high quality attracted Japanese partners – paving the way for its first export to Japan.
