The ASEAN Plus Three AI Industry Development Forum was held in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, on Oct 31, yielding fruitful results for regional collaboration.
The event brought together over 60 international guests and representatives from more than 100 domestic AI enterprises, including China Mobile, Inspur, and Huawei Cloud.
The Jinan Initiative on Regional Cooperation in Artificial Intelligencewas launched, outlining a vision of an open, collaborative, and inclusive innovation ecosystem across ASEAN countries, China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK).
During the event, China Computational Power Platform (Shandong) and China Computational Valley Artificial Intelligence Public Service Platform was launched. The platform provides computing power, large model, data, and AI application services, enhancing connectivity among regional resources, supporting industry-specific applications, and reinforcing Shandong's role as a key node in China's national computing network.
Agreements on three major projects were also signed on-site, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation. The Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, partnered with Jinan's Licheng district to co-establish an AI innovation institute, leveraging the large-scale model Zidongtaichu to accelerate algorithm research and commercialization.
Inspur signed agreements with domestic and international partners to build an AI plant. Meanwhile, a base was launched in Jinan to support secure and compliant cross-border AI data flows.
The forum also featured three themed seminars, providing a platform for participants to exchange insights on cutting-edge AI technologies and applications.
