OVC unveils China's first humanoid robot powered by HarmonyOS

The "Kuafu", China's first humanoid robot equipped with the open-source HarmonyOS, made its impressive debut in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) on Oct 28. This unveiling marks a significant step forward in building a fully autonomous and controllable robotics ecosystem.

Du Jinbiao, director of the HarmonyOS Ecosystem Innovation Center in OVC, said, "In the near future, in environments equipped with HarmonyOS devices, simply saying 'This area needs cleaning' will prompt a cleaning robot to start working."

HarmonyOS is a domestically developed intelligent operating system that enables seamless collaboration among various devices. It offers a wide range of applications, emphasizing smooth and secure operation while using AI technology to provide users with a convenient and efficient digital experience.

Since its launch in 2019, more than 1 billion devices worldwide have been integrated into the HarmonyOS ecosystem, making it the fastest-growing operating system globally. Over 1,300 devices have passed OpenHarmony compatibility certification, and more than 30,000 applications and services are available in the HarmonyOS app market. Market analysts predict that the HarmonyOS ecosystem could grow into a trillion-yuan industry.

The HarmonyOS Ecosystem Innovation Center is currently the largest and most comprehensive HarmonyOS innovation center in China. With over 300 technical testers and developers, the center has established a closed-loop service system for compatibility certification, talent development, and ecosystem promotion, injecting innovative vitality into the global HarmonyOS ecosystem.
