Dongde Hydrogen Technology, located in the Yantai Huang-Bohai New Area in East China's Shandong province, has introduced the world's first PowerMax Super Hydrogen Station. This launch signifies a significant advancement in clean energy infrastructure, capable of functioning entirely off-grid.
The station supports ultra-fast charging and quick deployment, offering a scalable solution to aid zero-carbon industrial parks and the energy transition. It tackles major energy sector challenges, including grid dependency and low efficiency.
The system generates electricity independently using hydrogen, enabling EV charging at 480 kilowatts. It can deliver approximately eight kilowatt-hours in one minute, translating to one kilometer of range per second.
Designed as a compact, containerized unit, the PowerMax station can be deployed "as easily as a refrigerator", without the need for complex grid upgrades or lengthy approval processes. This flexibility makes it ideal for remote areas, emergency power supply, and logistics hubs.
The innovation aligns with China's broader strategy to develop hydrogen as a future growth industry, as outlined in the country's latest Five-Year Plan. Dongde has already participated in multiple national-level hydrogen demonstration projects in provinces like Shandong, Guizhou, and Hainan.
With this launch, Yantai reinforces its position as a leader in hydrogen energy and clean technology, offering a replicable model for zero-carbon energy infrastructure globally.
