The Liaoning Provincial Museum is going to unveil a new exhibition that traces the evolution of decorative motifs on ancient Chinese artifacts, spanning from the pre-Qin period (before 221 BC) to the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). By focusing on the intricate designs carved, painted and cast onto bronzes, ceramics and jade, the exhibition reveals the changing aesthetics and cultural spirit behind these timeless patterns.
