The 24th Shichahai Culture and Tourism Promotion Campaign has been unveiled as scheduled and will run until the end of October. Through a diverse range of activities, including cultural tours, outdoor concerts, culture and tourism markets, international exchanges, and consumption-boosting initiatives such as "hotel+" and "ticket stub+" promotions, the campaign offers residents and visitors an immersive cultural consumption experience that spans "all times, all ages, and all areas."
Specifically, cultural tours connect historical landmarks across Xicheng, with in-depth experiential routes released to the public. Outdoor concerts, ranging from traditional Chinese music to contemporary outdoor folk performances, integrate art into daily life. The "Culture and Tech Market" brings together intangible cultural heritage items, time-honored brands, creative and cultural products, and local delicacies, creating consumer scenes where visitors can "stroll, play, and shop." Special experiences are designed for international tourists, while consumption-boosting activities offer "hotel+" and "ticket stub+" discounts.
Continuing its international characteristics, this year’s campaign highlights global perspectives, exchanges, and cooperation. Foreign influencers are invited to experience new cultural spaces along the Central Axis and create short videos with the tag "24 Hours in Trendy Xicheng," focusing on foreigner-friendly services such as convenient payment methods, tax refunds, and hotel accommodations. Young participants from home and abroad, including international exchange groups, foreign tourists, overseas students, and Chinese university students, are invited to take part in themed tours and colorful cultural experiences.
This year, the organizer has introduced two cultural consumption experiences: "Stylish Hotel Stays in Xicheng" and "Keep Your Ticket Stubs for Special Discounts in Xicheng." The former features themed afternoon teas and special room offerings, allowing visitors to explore the district’s charm through night tours, dining, and stays. The latter offers exclusive benefits such as discounts and late check-outs to visitors who present ticket stubs from performances or scenic spots.
The campaign also highlights popular consumption scenes like inbound tourism, the nighttime economy, the silver economy, and the wedding economy, and promotes six new immersive themed tourism routes, which offer roaming, cycling, and night jogging experiences and cover a variety of settings such as historical neighborhoods, cultural landmarks, and hustling commercial hotspots.
