A first for the Palace Museum: Setting the daily visitor cap
The Palace Museum initiated a trial program limiting daily visitor numbers to 80,000 people and introducing real-name ticketing beginning from June 13, 2015 (the cap has since been reduced to 40,000). The measure was implemented not only to enhance the visiting experience—making it more comfortable and enjoyable—but also to safeguard both the museum's cultural heritage and visitor safety. With fewer crowds, visitors can better appreciate the majesty and tranquility of this centuries-old palace.
