These miniature works recreate the beauty and construction wisdom of Ningbo's ancient buildings – from elegant rooflines to the mortise-and-tenon joints*, demonstrating Eastern architectural ingenuity.
*A mortise-and-tenon joint locks the two pieces together without the use of nails, screws, or other metal fasteners.
