Marathon demonstrates Xi'an's vitality

The 2025 Xi'an Marathon took place on Oct 19 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, attracting over 38,000 participants from across the country.

After finishing the race, Zhang Yuhan, a participant from Suzhou, Jiangsu province, said, “This is my first time in Xi'an and the Xi'an Marathon. The scenery along the race route is particularly beautiful, I can experience Xi'an's history and culture. I will visit Xi'an again for the marathon and a tour.”

Medical, security, volunteer, and logistics teams delivered professional and thorough services for runners during the marathon.

The second Xi'an Sports Consumption Carnival and the third Western Consumer Boutique Expo sub venue activities were also held simultaneously, where customized products incorporating elements of the Yongning Gate, the Bell Tower, and Tang poetry became popular items among runners.

The marathon is not just a sporting event; it's also a concentrated display of the city's charm. A representative of the event's organizer said that the Xi'an Marathon will continue to promote professionalism and warmth, becoming a link between runners and the city, helping more people understand Xi'an's cultural heritage, experience its urban atmosphere, and witness its growth and vitality.
