Heavy snow turns Momoge Wetland into a ‘silver haven’ for migratory birds

On Oct 17, Zhenlai county in Baicheng, Jilin province — known as the “hometown of the Chinese white crane” — was blanketed by a large snowfall, transforming the area into a stunning winter scene. In the Momoge National Nature Reserve, trees, reeds and cattails were covered with snow, turning the once green-and-golden wetland into a pure white wonderland.
