Wintech Nano: Qingdao FTZ's 'comprehensive chip hospital'

Wintech Nano (Qingdao) Co Ltd has established itself as a "comprehensive chip hospital" in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ, offering advanced semiconductor testing and analysis services.

The company's state-of-the-art laboratory, equipped with a transmission electron microscope capable of 0.16-nanometer resolution, can capture images of individual atoms within a chip, accurately identifying lattice defects and impurity distributions. This capability is crucial for addressing the semiconductor industry's challenge of locating defects in chips, often described as "finding an ant on a football field".

Wintech Nano provides comprehensive testing services, including failure analysis, material analysis, and reliability analysis, utilizing techniques such as acoustics, optics, electricity, magnetism, and thermology. These services cover the entire lifecycle of a chip, from R&D design and manufacturing to market application.

The company's extensive suite of testing equipment allows it to precisely locate defects and assist the integrated circuit industry in resolving complex issues such as product development and process improvement. Its services span the entire semiconductor industry chain, from chip design to wafer foundry and packaging testing, with applications in integrated circuits, optical devices, and sensors.

The rapid speed at which Wintech Nano was established and began operating reflects the Qingdao FTZ's efforts to strengthen and complement the integrated circuit industry chain. The company chose to set up operations in the zone in 2023 and quickly became a vital link in the semiconductor industry ecosystem.
