The "Cross-border E-commerce Enters Local Industry Clusters (Shaanxi) and 2025 Shaanxi Cross-border E-commerce Business Matchmaking Conference", jointly organized by the Commercial Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the CCPIT Shaanxi Sub-council, and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, was held on October 16 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China — the starting point of the ancient Silk Road.
More than 150 representatives from embassies and consulates in China, cross-border e-commerce platforms, international buyers, and industrial chain enterprises gathered to explore key markets such as Russia, Central Asia, and RCEP member countries, fostering a collaborative ecosystem of "government + platform + enterprise + service".
Focusing on "linking global resources and activating industrial potential", the matchmaking conference serves not only as a concrete step to advance Shaanxi's foreign trade development strategy, but also as a key platform to strengthen the deep connection between the core hub of the Belt and Road Initiative and the global market.
At the conference, Russia's leading e-commerce platform OZON established its cross-border e-commerce incubation base in the Xi'an Chanba Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park, marking a new stage of cooperation between Shaanxi and Russian-speaking countries. The move also opens a convenient "doorstep" channel for Shaanxi enterprises to connect with markets in Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
During the procurement matchmaking and enterprise exhibition, 30 cross-border e-commerce booths attracted wide interest, with international buyers expressing demand for products such as drones, electronics, and food.
Among them, Hong Kong-based TigerMark, a company that has been deeply engaged in the natural food sector for 26 years and serves as a benchmark enterprise for Shaanxi–Hong Kong cooperation, showcased its flagship products. Relying on its Ankang production base established in Shaanxi in 2012 — with a total investment of 102 million yuan ($14.32 million) and industry-leading production capacity — the company presented star products such as bitter buckwheat tea (the first of its kind in China to enter the global retail system), oak honey, and black sugar, which won the French SIAL Innovation award.
Positioned as a "global explorer of natural food origins" and backed by a complete industry chain, TigerMark drew keen interest from the OZON platform and Central Asian buyers, leading to multiple cooperation agreements on cross-border natural food supply.
According to preliminary statistics, the conference achieved an intended cooperation amount of approximately 30 million yuan.
An official from the CCPIT Shaanxi Sub-council noted that the council will continue to integrate various resources, capitalize on Shaanxi's industrial advantages, and enhance high-level international exchange and cooperation platforms to advance the scaling-up, clustering, and global development of Shaanxi's cross-border e-commerce industry.
