Haimen in Nantong organized a cultural exchange event on Sept 28 that brought together international friends from the United States, Colombia, Brazil, and several members of Haimen Codion Football Club to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.
The attendees assembled to enjoy tales of Chang'e flying to the moon and Wu Gang chopping the laurel tree, and participated in lively activities like a friendly soccer game and a touhu (pitch-pot) competition.
Under the guidance of pastry chefs, they handmade mooncakes by rolling colored dough, filling them with sweet paste, and pressing them into molds to form patterns of rabbits and osmanthus blossoms.
One of the foreign participants said, "I love mooncakes, and this is my first time seeing how they are made. I'm so delighted to be here — the activity is absolutely fascinating!"
