The establishment of two technology enterprises in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has become a vivid example of how the Hohhot branch of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei National Center for Technological Innovation is accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into real-world applications.

At a project site in Helingeer county, Hohhot, engineers from Beijing-based MakeSens Smart Technology Co were busy testing intelligent monitoring equipment that integrates Tsinghua University's cutting-edge chip technology. The system features low power consumption and long endurance, and will soon be applied in power and mining sectors.
Meanwhile, in the Inner Mongolia Frontier Disruptive Technology Industrial Park, Guangzhou-based ChromX Health Co is advancing construction on its "Gas Analysis and Detection Innovation Center", with a laboratory already entering the renovation phase.

Since its establishment in April 2024, the Hohhot branch has facilitated the implementation of 17 disruptive technology projects, attracted nine hard-tech enterprises, and driven a total investment of over 200 million yuan. Focusing on key areas such as artificial intelligence, new energy storage, and computing chips, the center promotes deep integration between science, technology, and industry.
ChromX Health Co's miniature gas chromatography analyzer can complete non-invasive screening for lung and liver cancers within 15 minutes, with an accuracy rate of over 92 percent, and has launched a 10,000-person screening program in Tumd Left Banner. MakeSens's intelligent monitoring system has been included in the National Key R&D Program and is expected to provide strong technical support for local industrial energy efficiency once operational.
To address funding challenges for technology enterprises, the Hohhot branch initiated a 200-million-yuan ($28.06 million) disruptive technology fund, with the first 50 million yuan already raised, and led the formation of a national investment alliance exceeding 10 billion yuan, attracting capital from Beijing, Shanghai, and other regions.

The Hohhot Innovation Center has built a "technology + capital + talent" synergy mechanism that accelerates the commercialization of high-tech projects, powering the upgrading of industrial clusters and future industries with sustained innovation momentum.
