Beijing’s first floating light and shadow stage shines in a dreamlike debut

On the evening of Oct 12, the Beijing Chaoyang International Light Consumption Season lit up the night sky over Chaoyang Park. A series of high-tech light and shadow shows — spanning water and sky — dazzled audiences with their futuristic charm.

With light as the curtain and the river as the prelude, colorful beams followed the winding Liangma River into Chaoyang Park, where Beijing’s first floating water-light stage presented a stunning cross-water aerial performance — blending rippling water, art, light and music into a dreamlike scene.
