Tai'an welcomed 1.86 million visitors to its 22 major A-level scenic areas during the eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, with Taishan Mountain alone surpassing 7 million visitors this year. New attractions saw spectacular growth — Taixi Peach Blossom Land reported a 1,543 percent surge in visitors, while Wanglinpo's waterfront scenic area recorded a 559 percent increase.
As night fell, the Dasong Everbright City in Dongping county glowed with replica palace lanterns. Nearly 100 performers staged interactive shows that captivated visitors even in drizzling rain. "The photo opportunities are amazing here," said Lyu Lili, a tourist from Hebei dressed in traditional Hanfu.
Across the city, 56 special activities and discounts enhanced the holiday experience. Taishan Mountain Scenic Area hosted cultural interactions revolving around Hanfu, while some scenic areas, such as the Culai Mountain hot spring resort, offered discounted tickets. Distinctive events ranged from food festivals on Xinpu Mountain to immersive performances on Jiunyu Mountain and wine tasting events at a cultural wine park in the city's Ningyang county.
The city also arranged for nearly 100 local brands to hold tourism product exhibitions and launched new commercial zones like Taiyuan Xidi, featuring over 30 debut stores. The recently opened Dai Qing Shui Lan cultural-tourism block has quickly become a popular destination among young visitors. Additionally, Tai'an launched campus promotion campaigns targeting university students with special offers, further boosting its appeal among younger travelers.
