Yantai-South Korea photo exhibition opens, strengthening cultural bonds

A photographic art exchange exhibition opened on Oct 9 at the Yantai City Art Museum in Laishan district, drawing crowds of photography enthusiasts eager to appreciate and discuss nearly 200 selected works from China and South Korea. 

During the opening ceremony, awards were presented to individuals recognized for their special contributions to Yantai's photographic development and creative output. The chairman of the South Korean Photographers Association was honored with the outstanding contribution award for his role in advancing photography exchanges between Yantai and Gunsan, South Korea.

The exhibition is showcasing a diverse range of imagery — from documentary and artistic photography to a special section dedicated to works from Gunsan. These pieces reflect unique cultural landscapes and contemporary themes, creating a visual dialogue between the two regions.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until Oct 20, offering a vibrant platform for cross-cultural appreciation and artistic connection.
