The immersive live drama Ji Song (Ode to Hou Ji) captivated audiences at the Banzao Museum in Jishan, Shanxi, on Oct 10. Through music, dance and vivid staging, the show revives the story of Hou Ji — the ancestor of Chinese farming — who taught people to grow grains and ushered in China’s ancient agrarian civilization.
