Hohhot tourism booms during National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival holidays

Hohhot received 4.57 million domestic tourists during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from Oct 1 to 8, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.28 percent. The city's domestic tourism revenue reached 3.25 billion yuan ($456 million), up 9.31 percent compared with the same period last year.

CCTV's Morning News reported that Hohhot ranked as the most popular city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region during the holidays.

Meituan's 2025 National Day Hohhot Local Life Consumption Report also indicated that the city's leisure life service consumption increased by 6.5 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the autonomous region and 52nd nationwide.

The city's top 10 tourist attractions included Chilechuan Grassland Tourism Resort, Dazhao Historical and Cultural Tourism Area, Laoniuwan Yellow River Grand Canyon Scenic Area, Inner Mongolia Museum, and Daqingshan Wildlife Park.

Other listed attractions included Yili Prairie Dairy Culture Tourism Area, General's Office Museum, Zhaojun Museum, Shenquan Ecological Tourism Area, and Aowei Horse Cultural Ecological Tourism Area.
