On Sept 24, Xi'an hosted the China-Europe Railway Express inspection and exchange event, part of the economic and trade exchange at the 2025 Euro-Asia Economic Forum for SCO countries.
The attending parties participated in two key activities: promoting the advantages of cross-border trade on-site and inspecting the Xi'an Assembly Center of the China-Europe Railway Express.
As the center's location, Xi'an Chanba International Port has developed the country's first comprehensive digital financial service platform for the China-Europe Railway Express, providing 18.73 billion yuan ($2.63 billion) in financing support. The port has also been granted China's first tax refund policy for a port of departure, a measure that shortens the tax refund period to 3–5 days for inland shipping and deemed departure.
To date, the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) has launched 18 international trunk lines that operate on a regular basis. Close cooperative relationships have been established with major coastal ports in Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Shandong, providing customers with logistics solutions to transport goods worldwide through sea-rail intermodal transportation.
The China-Europe Railway Express network has become an important lever for Xi'an to expand its high-level opening-up to the world. Xi'an Chanba International Port will accelerate the formulation of special policies, strengthen internal and external collaboration, and strive to play a greater role in facilitating dual circulation at both the domestic and international level.
