Guizhou firm recognized as excellence-level smart factory

Guizhou Space Appliance Co, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Industry Co, has become the first company in Guizhou to earn the excellence-level smart factory certification from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is the only one in Guizhou to receive this honor.

The certification was awarded for its AI-driven aerospace precision electronic components project, which adheres to a multi-site collaborative smart factory model.

The excellence-level smart factory is the highest tier in the ministry's smart factory development program, which evaluates factories across four levels: basic, advanced, excellent, and leading.

Since developing the smart factory, the company has reduced defect rates by 40 percent, lowered operating costs by 4.51 percent, and shortened product development cycles by 33.82 percent.
