The 2025 "Xiwang Cup" Tour of Huangshan Cycling Challenge wrapped up on Sept 21. Recognized as a UCI 2.1 road race, it drew 18 elite professional teams from 12 countries and regions, highlighting Huangshan's growing prominence in international cycling.

The three-day race spanned 361 kilometers over three stages, combining athletic difficulty with Huangshan's urban landmarks and scenic beauty.

The first stage covered a 140-km urban circuit in Tunxi district, followed by a second stage of 120km from Huizhou district to Huangshan district.
The final 101-km stage from Huangshan district to Yixian county took riders through countryside scenery.
Following intense competition, Daniel Cavia from Spain's Burgos Burpellet BH team secured the overall championship through his strong individual performance and effective teamwork.

Since its debut in 2023, the Tour of Huangshan has grown rapidly, with 3,000 riders participating this year.
Alongside the race, side events such as the night ride, music festival and sports fair helped create a lively atmosphere, integrating sports, culture, and tourism. These efforts are shaping Huangshan into an emerging international cycling destination.
