The Xi'an Electronic Consumer Goods Promotion Event and the 2025 Xi'an Automobile Exhibition and Sales Event, hosted by the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the administrative committee of Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone, were launched simultaneously on September 19 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.
These events not only respond to consumers’ growing pursuit of smart living, but also serve as a concrete step in advancing national policies on large-scale equipment upgrades and consumer goods trade-ins.
According to a relevant official from the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the city has been actively promoting trade-in programs for consumer goods since the beginning of this year. So far, subsidies totaling 4.75 billion yuan ($667.68 million) have been issued, benefiting 5.72 million consumers and driving consumption worth 46.65 billion yuan.
This has effectively stabilized and activated the local consumer market while improving the convenience of citizens' consumption, the official said.
The official emphasized that electronic consumer goods, as an important carrier for the deep integration of technology and life, are not only central to consumer upgrading, but also a driving force for industrial innovation and high-quality urban development.
The official noted that the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce will continue to innovate consumption scenarios, enrich consumption formats, unleash consumption potential, and foster a vibrant atmosphere of citywide engagement, further enhancing Xi’an’s appeal and influence as a consumption hub.
At the event, a company representative said they will leverage the platform to showcase the latest products and cutting-edge technologies, offer quality services and deals, and allow consumers to experience how technology enhances daily life — while jointly driving industrial development and consumption upgrading.
The events feature four themed exhibition areas, including electronic consumer goods, trade-ins, cultural tourism and creative industries, and automobiles.
The electronic consumer goods exhibition area gathers 35 booths from 25 leading brands, including Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, Dyson, DJI, Lenovo, and iFlytek. With high-quality products and advanced technologies, it caters to diverse household needs and enhances smart living across education, work, and everyday life.
The The Trade-in & Green exhibition area provides trade-in services for household appliances and digital products, as well as environmental recycling consultations, catering to consumers' needs for second-hand exchanges.

In the Cultural Tourism and Creative exhibition area, the China National Travel Service booth offers one-stop services for domestic travel, outbound tourism, and global visas. Meanwhile, Xi'an’s characteristic cultural and creative products brought by Chang'an Creation (Shaanxi) Cultural Technology Co Ltd perfectly integrate technology and culture, attracting many visitors to shop and collect souvenirs.
At the automotive exhibition area, 28 car companies — including 25 new car dealers and three used car dealers — showcased a variety of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and new energy models. Popular brands on display included Tesla, NIO, Ideal, Xiaopeng, and BYD.
