​Industrial output value of Xi'an High-tech Zone exceeds 20m yuan in H1

In the first half of 2025, the total output value of industrial enterprises above a designated size — those with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan ($2.81 million) — in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone exceeded 200 billion yuan for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 11.6 percent.

As an important area of Xi'an's regional science and technology innovation center, the Xi'an High-tech Zone continues to make efforts in promoting the integrated development of science and technology innovation and industrial innovation. Focusing on national strategic needs, the zone has accelerated the construction of high-energy innovation platforms, improving the laboratory system and gathering 19 national key laboratories.

The zone focuses on cultivating emerging industries and promoting the transformation of high-efficiency achievements into real-world applications. The construction of the National Advanced Rare Metal Materials Technology Innovation Center is accelerating, with eight projects focusing on electronic components, fuel cells, and intermediate alloys having undergone pilot scale experiments.

Four pilot certification platforms have been established in advanced pharmaceuticals, power electronics, unmanned aerial vehicle systems, and photonics integration, and have been included in the first batch of key cultivation lists by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Eight new tracks, including photonics, intelligent connected vehicles, unmanned intelligent systems, and advanced semiconductor chips, have been included in the National New Track Cultivation Plan of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The zone also focuses on the construction of innovative entities and consolidating the cultivation of high-quality enterprises. A total of 109 enterprises and individuals have won the Shaanxi Science and Technology Award for 2024, accounting for over 30 percent of the total in the province.

The Xi'an High-tech Zone will continue to make efforts in the construction of scientific and technological innovation platforms, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into real-world applications, the cultivation of scientific and technological enterprises, and the optimization of scientific and technological innovation ecology, contributing to the construction of the Xi'an regional science and technology innovation center.
