Nanjing Normal University Taizhou Experimental School opens

The Nanjing Normal University Taizhou Experimental School opened on Aug 29. The school is a joint initiative between Nanjing Normal University and the Hailing district government, designed with 36 classes, increasing the district's enrollment capacity by 1,620 students.

Its opening marks a significant step in Hailing's efforts to integrate top-tier educational resources and advance high-quality education development.

Jiang Dongdong, Party secretary of Taizhou, highlighted that NNU, with its 123-year history, has both advanced concepts and proven models in cooperative schooling. He expressed confidence that the combination of Taizhou's strong educational foundation and NNU's strengths in talent and pedagogy would make the new school a cradle for student growth, fertile ground for teacher development, and a benchmark that meets the expectations of the people.

Hua Guihong, president of the university, pledged that NNU would leverage its advantages in education, science, and talent to deepen collaboration with Taizhou in areas such as student training, teaching reform, and teacher development, further contributing to the high-quality advancement of local basic education.
