VR animated film debuts in Jining, offering immersive Chinese aesthetic experience

The virtual reality (VR) adaptation of the animation Chang'an launched in Rencheng district of Jining on Sept 7, East China's Shandong province, where just owes the Li Bai Memorial Hall.

Named after the capital of the Tang Dynasty (618–907), the film tells the life of Li Bai, a renowned poet of the time in Chang'an (modern-day Xi'an in Shaanxi province), from his friend Gao Shi's perspective.

This VR film is based on this popular animated movie that sparked a cultural sensation in 2023 with its unique Chinese aesthetics and deep cultural roots. It has now landed at the Jining Museum, offering visitors an immersive journey into the world of the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai.

This initiative marks a significant step in blending traditional culture with modern technology, providing a new way for audiences to experience and appreciate China's rich cultural heritage. The VR element not only brings the characters and stories to life but also creates a unique cultural resonance, connecting modern audiences with the timeless charm of ancient China.
