The 2025 Asia Triathlon Championships Istanbul concluded on Aug 31 in Istanbul, Turkiye. Li Qinyue, as the only female athlete from Xi'an, won bronze in the amateur group for women aged 40 to 44, qualifying for the Triathlon World Championships in October.
A triathlon is a sporting event that combines swimming, cycling, and running, which tests the athletes' physical strength and willpower. Li attached great importance to the competition and was fully prepared. From a rookie in the 2019 competition to an Asian bronze medalist who conquered the 2,200-meter rapids of the Bosphorus Strait and rode the cross Eurasian bridge cycling track, she perfectly embodies the concept of "taking passion to the extreme".
Standing on the podium in a foreign land, Li felt a deep sense of belonging to Xi'an, "I am very excited to win the bronze medal. Through my own efforts, I have achieved my dreams and won honors for my hometown."
Li is full of expectations for the future. She will continue to work hard and look forward bringing glory to China on the triathlon track.
