Guizhou to develop Guiyang-Gui'an a key tourism hub and summer resort

Southwest China's Guizhou province has unveiled a plan to integrate transportation and tourism development, aiming to become a world-class travel destination. The plan focuses on developing the Guiyang City-Gui'an New Area into a combined transit hub and summer resort zone, strengthening its role as a core tourism center and driving coordinated growth across central Guizhou.

The plan adopts a "One Core, Three Corridors, Multiple Networks" framework to enhance connectivity among scenic spots and support building the province into a world tourist destination:

One Core: The areas around major transport hubs – Guiyangbei Railway Station, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, and Gui'an High-Speed Railway Station – will be developed in an effort to turn Guiyang-Gui'an into a premier transit and summer vacation destination.

Three Corridors: Key transport axes including the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao to Chengdu-Chongqing region, the Shanghai-Kunming corridor, and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor will be used to link major attractions across east-west and north-south routes.

Multiple Networks: An integrated slow-travel network connecting main roads, branches, and transport hubs will be developed to improve last-mile access and services at key tourist sites.
