Since Sept 1, Huaqing Palace scenic area in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has held various commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
During the event, the12.12 Xi'an Incidentperformance launched multiple special sessions, with audiences holding national flags to form a "red ocean". Flash mobs such as theYellow River Cantatawere also staged in rotation.
As a red tourism scenic spot and a provincial-level patriotic education base, Huaqing Palace has long been involved in the preservation of red culture. Using historical artifacts related to the Xi'an Incident, it has held special exhibitions celebrating the 70th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, as well as red tourism forums.
It has strengthened red education. In 2018, it launched the "Feel Tang Dynasty Culture, Experience Red Education" study course, and was awarded the title of "National Primary and Secondary School Student Study Practice Education Base" by the Ministry of Education.
Huaqing Palace will utilize attractions such as the Xi'an Incident site, create patriotic education scenarios through immersive performances, enhance the dissemination of red culture, and help promote the high-quality development of red tourism in Shaanxi province.
