Shenyang Qipao Culture Season comes to close

The closing ceremony has been held for the 2025 Shenyang Qipao Culture Season at Xiyuan Cultural Creative Park in Dadong district. During the closing performance for the three-month-long series of events, foreign models wearing qipao (or cheongsam) demonstrated the international appeal of Shenyang qipao, while 15 couples performed a wedding qipao show, with performers and audiences from all walks of life showcasing the public's love for the traditional dress.

The Qipao Culture Season consisted of more than 100 activities which integrated qipao with poetry, dance and traditional culture. During the season, Han Yang, creative director of Shenyang's local qipao brand, promoted qipao at France's international fashion week and brought the dress to the Osaka World Expo, creating an Oriental aesthetic sensation. The program "Oriental Etiquette" perfectly merged Chinese traditional cultural aesthetics with qipao.

Image ambassador Qu Dina said that when she wore qipao on the world stage, she felt the cultural pride of Shenyang. Qipao has evolved from clothing into a cultural symbol of Shenyang, becoming an important vehicle for showcasing Oriental aesthetic charm.
