After a four-month fishing moratorium, seafood harvesting resumed in Yantai, a city in East China's Shandong province, on Sept 1.
Early that morning, fishing boats lined up neatly at the docks of Yantai's harbors, ready to set sail. With the official signal to begin fishing, a spectacular scene unfolded as thousands of boats raced out to sea.
Eager residents gathered at the docks, waiting to purchase fresh seafood. As the boats returned laden with their catch, the freshly landed seafood was quickly snapped up by enthusiastic buyers.
Starting now, Yantai residents can once again enjoy crabs, shrimp, scallops, and other delicacies.
