A senior meeting for the delegation of business representatives from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was held on Aug 28 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, bringing together approximately 180 participants from government departments, enterprises, and business associations.

During the event, the CCPIT Jilin Sub-council signed Memorandums of Understanding with five chambers of commerce, including the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, laying the groundwork for future cooperation across multiple sectors.

An economic and trade exchange session highlighted Jilin's advantages in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, the unique economic development of Siping and Liaoyuan, and the progress of Jiaohe Economic Development Zone. International representatives from countries such as Brunei and Honduras introduced business environments, industrial resources, and cooperation opportunities.

Following the exchanges, participants engaged in direct matchmaking discussions, exploring new models and pathways for industrial collaboration and project cooperation.

Coinciding with the 15th China–Northeast Asia Expo, the event served as a practical platform for global business communities to connect with Jilin. It also underscored Jilin's strategic advantages in the Belt and Road Initiative, injecting new momentum into broader, higher-quality cooperation.
