On Aug 17, a rare “Buddha’s halo” phenomenon appeared above Bakangpo along the G552 highway in Wangmo county, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province. The optical phenomenon, together with seas of clouds, cascading cloud waterfalls, and sunlit mountain peaks, formed a breathtaking spectacle.
The “Buddha’s halo” is a rare meteorological phenomenon that only occurs when sunlight, terrain, cloud seas, dense fog, and other natural elements perfectly align under rare conditions, making it an extremely uncommon sight.
