To boost the integrated development of culture, tourism, commerce, and sports in the district, Xicheng has launched the Midsummer Film Carnival, offering diverse film-themed activities throughout this summer.
The carnival pools cultural, tourism, and commercial resources from cinemas, business districts, and parks, and builds four systems of scene creation, win-win collaboration, tiered public benefits, and themed experiences. Fourteen distinctive programs and over 30 themed activities will be organized to attract movie-goers and leverage films’ role in driving social consumption. Meanwhile, 14 participating cinemas will embrace the idea of year-round “ticket stub economy” and boost “film+” consumption.
