The Epic Scroll of China's Grand Canal is a 135-meter-long painting telling the canal's 2,500-year history – from the start of digging until its westward expansion and completion. This colossal scroll not only captures the canal's significant role in China's ancient history, but also celebrates the vibrant new scenes it has witnessed in the new China.

Currently, it's on display at the Xixia Museum in Yinchuan, Ningxia, where two of China's UNESCO World Heritage sites meet, creating a one-of-a-kind cultural encounter.

Dates: Until Oct 8
