Hohhot's policies enlighten career paths

Hohhot saw 30,700 new urban jobs in the first half of this year, with 22,600 going to young people, delivering a good employment outcome that reflects support for youth dreams and steady socio-economic progress.

This was supported by a 5.6 percent GDP growth, reaching 208.82 billion yuan ($29.06 billion). Six industrial clusters and over 1,200 key projects in Hohhot fostered a cycle of industrial upgrading, job creation, and talent attraction. Emerging industries, youth vitality, the transformation of traditional industries, and cross-border thinking propelled employment quality.

Targeted policies and services made this possible: "25 Talent Policies" offered housing benefits; "Youth Entrepreneurship Aid" provided subsidies; 505 job fairs offered 330,000 positions; and government-school-enterprise alliances enabled precise matches.

Migrant workers received tailored skills training, while veterans had dedicated job channels. These measures safeguarded livelihoods and fostered belonging.

Hohhot now attracts youth pursuing their dreams, with personal growth aligning with urban development. This "two-way engagement" will sustain vitality.
