August exclusive: Golden cosmos bloom at Guilin Garden Expo Park

August has brought a vibrant gift to Guilin Garden Expo Park - endless fields of sulphur cosmos (Cosmos sulphureus Cav.), painting the landscape gold and marking the perfect prelude to autumn.

These orange and yellow blooms resemble tiny suns dancing in the breeze. Already partially open, they'll reach their full splendor by Aug 10, with a 15-day flowering period.

Wander through the flower sea via dedicated paths, where butterflies flit between blossoms, the scent of summer lingers, and every snapshot is a wallpaper-worthy scene.

Spanning 1,200 mu (80 hectares), the expo isn't just about flowers. Its 185-mu (12.33-hectare) water area and 14 city-themed gardens showcase various aspects of Guangxi, from its coastal charm to its rich history. Rent a bike or a golf cart to explore effortlessly, soaking in both the natural beauty and impressive craftsmanship.

Getting here is easy: Take Bus 5 to Guilin University of Technology, then walk 200 meters; drive to Guilin Garden Expo visitor center; or take a Yangshuo-bound bus to Yuanbo road.
