Baotou makes national pilot list

Baotou has been included in the second batch of 15-minute convenient living circle pilot zones, which the Ministry of Commerce announced on July 31.

This encouragement and recognition of the city's achievements in convenient services in recent years is of great significance for promoting Baotou's modernization of urban governance and improving the quality and efficiency of people's livelihood services.

Since 2022, the Baotou municipal bureau of commerce has taken the creation of 15-minute convenient living circles as an important method for promoting people's livelihoods, guiding and encouraging communities to carry out pilot construction based on their resource endowments and attracting retail, catering, elderly care, culture, and sports into communities and subdistricts to form a functional, high-quality, efficient community service system.

The city has already built 100 pilot communities with 15-minute convenient living circles, with coverage reaching over 34 percent.
