World’s longest alpine cableway makes successful trial run

On July 23, the Xuefeng Mountain Cableway in Xupu county, Hunan province, completed its first trial run! Stretching 7.6 kilometers with a vertical rise of 1,157 meters, it’s now officially the longest alpine cableway in the world!

Set to begin trial operations this September, the cableway offers a 23-minute scenic ride and connects directly to Xupu South Station on the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway — making travel super convenient with zero-distance transfers between train and cableway.
