A container train loaded with planks departed Nanning International Railway Port for Qinzhou Port East Railway Station on July 23, becoming Guangxi's first "white goods" logistics package train and filling a gap in local cross-border logistics for such cargo.
"White goods" (general cargo such as manufactured products and consumer goods, distinct from bulk commodities like coal or ore) here include planks — benefiting from Nanning's abundant forestry resources and complete plank industrial chain, with growing export demand to Vietnam amid RCEP advancement. The train will transfer via Qinzhou Port for shipment to Haiphong Port.
The new logistics model, following a "one commission, one container, one settlement" system, integrates road feeder, rail transport, port operations and cross-border shipping, resolving longstanding issues such as fragmented procedures, high costs and unstable timelines. "Entrusting the whole process to railways is hassle-free and efficient," said SF Express's Lu Tingyao.
This strengthens Guangxi FTZ's role as a China-ASEAN logistics hub, introducing an efficient trade channel.
